Hi, I am Melinda!

I remember walking my dog in the forest many times and thinking about how I could be a catalyst for positive change in the life of children and their families. I reflected on my childhood and wished someone could have been there for me as a mentor to help me learn to live a more aware and purposeful life. I needed guidance and wisdom, but sometimes felt alone and drifting. I wish I knew back then how powerful it is to formulate goals so that we have something to aim for, something to achieve. Even the most simple goals give us fulfilment and the feeling of progression.

I would have appreciated to have someone to help me stand up for myself against bullies and to not be so vulnerable. I wish someone had taught me the importance of being organized with my things and my time so that I would have more time for the things and people that matter to me.

To understand my strengths and growth areas, so that I could fulfil more of my potential and become more successful. All these and many more tools could have been life-changing for me. But it is never too late to learn and to change and the earlier it is, the better. I believe that when children are given the right tools and life skills early on, and have a supporting family environment, they have a much higher chance of living a more fulfilled and happier life.

After an extensive 500 hours course of study and 90 hours of clinical training to rigorous standards, I am now certified to do what I love- supporting children and their families in their journey to a more aware and fulfilling life.
